- HE WAS THE FIRST TO PERFORM TOTAL HIP JOINT REPLACEMENT IN THE STATE IN 1976 AND WAS AWARDED THE VYAGRESHWARUDU GOLD MEDAL FOR THE BEST PAPER IN ORTHOPEDICS IN THE ANDHRA PRADESH STATE CONFERENCE. HE WAS THE FIRST TO START SCOLIOSIS SURGERIES USING LUQUE TECHNIQUE IN 1984 AND PRESENTED HIS PAPER IN MALAYSIA IN THE POST CONGRESS MEETING OF THE WESTERN PACIFIC ASSOCIATION IN 1984.
- HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRAINING A LARGE NUMBER OF YOUNGER SURGEONS IN THIS FIELD AND IN ANTERIOR SPINAL FUSION FOR TB.SPINE AND VARIOUS RECONSTRUCTION SURGERIES FOR POLIO AND FAILED TRAUMA
